Doshi-Kai advanced training with Matsuyama Sensei on Saturday (Nov 16) included Tai-jutsu pinning and throwing techniques against grabbing (katate dori and kata dori) and punching attacks (oi-zuki, mai-te gyaku-zuki, and mai-te).  Techniques included ude osae (arm pin), kote hineri (rotational wrist lock), shiho nage (four direction throw) and kote gaeshi (wrist turn out throw) to name a few.  Here are just a few photos of Matsuyama Sensei teaching the fine points and his student’s doing their best to follow.  More advanced training next Saturday (Nov 23) including Bo!  Thanks John O’Gara for the photos and the above write-up of the class.Read More →
